Welcome to the e-band-room of the University of Chicago Band!
We're on a mission from God.
The Band is on a mission to spread pep throughout the University of Chicago campus. We accomplish this primarily by playing at home football and basketball games. If you have another event where we can spread pep, tell our president.
No ma'am, we're musicians.
The Band is made up of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Chicago. It is entirely student run, and all members are volunteers.
If you say no, Elwood and I will come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner . . . every day of the week . . . .
Playing in the Band is a great way to relax and have fun at a school not noted for its laid-back attitude. We don't audition members; everyone with any musical experience is invited to join the Band.
Oh we got both kinds. We got country and western.
The Band plays primarily rock and pop tunes, but we're open to whatever sounds good. If you have a song you think the Band ought to play, tell the director about it.
